Since the first walk in 2004, Y Care raised more than P1,600, 000.00 (US$ 266,000) from the walks towards the beneficiaries.

 How to become a beneficiary?
 If you are running a community trust or program in Botswana and would like to apply to become a Y Care Beneficiary, here are the  criteria:

 1. Activities must be in Botswana
 2. An existing and active community project, registered trust or society
 3. Having an active bank account
 4. Written project description; history, activities, the future etc
 5. Working within art, disabled youth, orphans and vulnerable children, environment, health, psycho-social counselling, youth and/or     sports
 6. Written request for what the funds (if successful application) will be used for
 7. Application to be handed over to Y Care by email, postal mail or delivered to Y Care’s office
 8. Applications to be handed in to Y Care latest May 1st 2008
